Upstream Health Consulting

Youth Metabolic Health * Health Literacy

Setting kids and teens up for lifelong health—upstream.

Meet Kelly

I’m Kelly Rogers Victor, a writer, policy analyst, and consultant focused on pediatric metabolic health and health literacy.

I’m a regular columnist for The Detroit News and work with families, schools, health systems, and community organizations to address the root causes of chronic disease in children. My work is grounded in a simple belief: lifelong health is built early—and upstream—through daily habits, family and school environments, and strong nutrition and health literacy.

Trained in philosophy, public health, and public policy (PhD, MPH, MPP), I translate complex nutrition and behavior science into practical strategies for the people who shape children’s lives. I help caregivers and decision-makers build healthier systems, and I give young people the knowledge and confidence to care for their bodies and advocate for their own health.
